Deleting a Command

Note about who can administer Container Service features
As of Container Service version 3.7.0+ and XNAT version 1.9.2+, Site Admin can no longer administer features of Container Service. A user with Container Manager Role and Privileged Role can administer the Container Service. These roles can be additionally granted to the Site Admin to be able to administer Container Service.

You can easily delete saved container command definitions on your site.

While logged into XNAT with Container Manager permissions, select AdministerPlugin Settings

On the Plugin Settings page, choose Images & Commands. This screen is organized by docker image, with a table under each image listing the Commands that use that image.

Find the row for the Command you wish to delete. Click the button with a trash can icon in the Actions column to delete it.

A Confirmation dialog will appear. Click OK to delete the Command, or click Cancel or the X button in the corner to not delete the Command.

Impact on Command History

Deleting a command definition does not affect any command history entry of any previously run instance of a command. The history entry maintains a record of the previously run command string and the image that it was run from.

Deleting all Commands from an Image

If all commands are deleted from an image, the image will be hidden from the list of installed images, but not deleted. Hidden images can be shown by clicking on the Hidden Images notice at the bottom of the Installed Images and Commands panel.
