XNAT 184.108.40.206 Is Now Available
XNAT 220.127.116.11 is a hotfix release addressing a critical bug in the way DicomEdit scripts are applied when custom processing is enabled on a DICOM SCP receiver. This bug was introduced in XNAT 1.7.6, with the release of the custom processors feature, and primarily impacts users of the DICOM Query-Retrieve plugin.
None of the standard import methods are affected, including DICOM C-STORE without custom processing enabled, XNAT Desktop Client, Compressed Uploader, and the import REST API.
Full details are available in our XNAT 18.104.22.168 Release Notes.
Upgrading is (fairly) easy!
The upgrade path from XNAT 1.8.x to XNAT 22.214.171.124 is as easy as configuring your war file for the version of Tomcat you're running and dropping the new war file in place. Upgrading from the XNAT 1.7.x line is only mildly more arduous. See the XNAT Upgrade Instructions.
Additional Releases Of Note
Several new plugin and enhancements to open-source XNAT have also been released in tandem with this release of XNAT 126.96.36.199. Please check each plugin's documentation for notes on compatibility requirements.
PIXI 1.0 Release
Version 1.0.0 of the Preclinical Imaging XNAT-Enabled Informatics (PIXI) plugin is now available. This plugin adds data types important for preclinical imaging research, new user-friendly spreadsheet-style UI extensions for direct batch data entry of PIXI data types, and an integrated containerized workflow for splitting multi-subject small animal DICOM images into individual XNAT image sessions.
Visit the PIXI website for more details, documentation, and the plugin jar.
DICOM Query-Retrieve Plugin 1.2
Version 1.2 of the DQR plugin offers additional logging and debugging information on failed imports, as well as additional request tracking capabilities. DQR 1.2 is fully compatible with the new XNAT 188.8.131.52 release.
Container Service Plugin 3.4.2
Version 3.4.2 of the Container Service plugin offers improvements for running processing on Kubernetes backends by enabling support for PEM credentials.
JupyterHub Integration Plugin 1.0.1
Version 1.0.1 of the JupyterHub Integration plugin improves support for launching Jupyter Notebooks on multi-node and Kubernetes-hosted XNAT instances, and also adds fine-grained datetime filtering.
