XNAT 1.9.3 and Related Plugin Releases
XNAT 1.9.3 has been released, along with a number of plugins.
What’s in XNAT 1.9.3?
XNAT 1.9.3 extends support to new imaging modalities and DICOM contrast data, increases capacity for large scale processing and data handling, and offers additional fixes for security and performance. There are several changes that should be taken note of for users upgrading from previous versions of XNAT:
The default relationship between Site Administrator and All Data Access user roles has been changed. XNAT now supports creating Site Admins without All Data Access via the UI, to allow enforcement of the “least privilege” principle.
The order in which scan modalities are recognized by the XNAT session builder has been changed to accommodate new modalities. This could potentially lead to changed behavior when XNAT imports sessions with more than one scan modality.
Full details and links to development tickets are available in the XNAT 1.9.3 Release Notes.
